The 2001 Ilan International Children’s Folklore and Folk Game Festival--Festival Activity Outline

Each year, the first weekend of July marks the commencement of the grand Ilan International Children’s Folklore and Folk Game Festival. As in previous years, this year there will have a variety of activities that have been designed to be related to this year’s themes of the four main categories that form the leitmotiv of the Festival, namely performances, exhibitions, games and interaction. During the activities, emphasis is placed on different concepts, including "local customs", "family rejoicing", "knowledge exchange" and "united reunion family". It is expected that this summer will again bring about an inciting atmosphere in Ilan.

During the Festival, in addition to partaking in the many water games, exhibitions and performances, visitors are given the rare opportunity to admire numerous traditional handicraft articles from various countries and dedicated souvenir of the festival that will be displayed at the ChingShuei Park. Whether it’s food, drinks, pleasure or utilization … everything has been taken care of. All you have to do is bring along a sunny and cheerful spirit, everything else can be left to the festival’s likable and friendly attendants!
